Svetlana Toukalevskaya was born in the Far East of Russia, in the town of Khabarovsk.
She graduated from a specialist music school and the Khabarovsk College of Arts, specialising in piano.
She then continued her post-graduate musical studies at the Khabarovsk Institute of the Arts, where she obtained a diploma as a piano teacher, accompanist and ensemble artist.
After moving to Luxembourg in 2001, she continued to hone her professional skills by studying at the Conservatoire du Luxembourg, concentrating on piano, piano methodology, solfeggio and music pedagogy.
In 2020, she obtained a higher music teaching diploma as a music theory teacher at the Institut Royal Supérieur de Musique et de Pédagogie in Namur, with distinction.
For the past seven years, she has been a piano and music theory teacher, as well as a music training delegate, at the Pétange music school.
Since 2019, she has been a member of an instrumental trio comprising piano, flute and cymbal, alongside Anastassia Eletskaia and Tatjana Eletskaia.
