Simone Weber was born in Luxembourg in 1985. She discovered the clarinet at the age of nine and her passion for music was ignited. A wide-ranging musical education at the Luxembourg Conservatory and the Landesmusikgymnasium Rheinland-Pfalz was followed by studies in Germany and the USA. Succeeding a Master of Music Performance summa cum laude with Prof. Michèle Gingras, she graduated with a concert diploma both in clarinet performance as well as chamber music with Prof. Johannes Gmeinder. On the bass clarinet, she obtained a Diplôme Supérieur with Prof. Marcel Lallemang. Masterclasses with Eduard Brunner, Charles Neidich and François Benda on modern clarinet as well as Alan Hacker and Gilles Thomé on period clarinets refined her playing. After serving as second and bass clarinettist with the Munich Radio Orchestra and the Freiburg Philharmonic Orchestra for two seasons, she followed the call of her homeland in 2014, where she was appointed as clarinet and chamber music teacher at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg. Besides her artistic career, Simone Weber is also a certified Dispokinesis teacher and performance coach, specialising in musicians' health and mental well-being. Since 2023, Simone Weber serves as President of the Luxembourg Clarinet Association.
