Serge Tonnar was born in Luxembourg in 1970. After training as a journalist, a profession he pursued for several years, he became an artist in 1997. He is a composer and performer of his own songs, appearing both solo and with various groups and artists. In the field of theater, Serge Tonnar is also an actor, author, director, and producer of plays in the Luxembourgish language. In 2015, during the refugee crisis, he co-founded the association "Mir wëllen iech ons Heemecht weisen" (We want to show you our homeland) with the aim of enhancing intercultural dialogue by bringing Luxembourgers closer to the culture of foreigners living here, and vice versa.
