
After his solo debut with Legnica Symphonic Orchestra at age of twelve, he became a laureate of several competitions for talented young musicians in Stalowa Wola, Wroclaw, Legnica, and Poznan. Especially important was a 2nd prize at the International Violin Competition in Schloss Zell an der Pram, Austria. In 2009 Bartlomiej was awarded with special prize at the 2nd International Wilhelm Ernst and Karol Szymanowski Competition. Winning those prizes led him to many concert invitations, and collaborations with great violinists like Igor Ozim, Rudolf Koelman, Ida Haendel, Bartlomiej Niziol, Nathan Cole and more.
In 2016 Bart Ciaston joined 1st violin section in OPL Luxembourg Philharmonic.
In the past years he has performed as a soloist with orchestras such as Ensemble Orchestral de Bruxelles, Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra, Euro Iuvenis Sinfonica, and The Open Musical Safety Pin Philharmonic (J&S Pro Bono Foundation). As an orchestra musician he has performed in prestigious venues such as the Bozar Bruxelles, Berlin Philharmonie, Münchner Philharmonie, Dresden Philharmonie, Tonhalle Zurich, Musikverein Vienna, and Paris Philharmonie. He has played in many countries all over the Europe and China, Mexico, USA . Working with Orchestre de l’Opéra National de Belgique, Brussels Philharmonic, Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, Chamber Orchestra Leopoldinum, Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra and Orchestra Wratislavia.
Between 2015–2017 Bartlomiej was a concertmaster the innovative Belgian string orchestra BOHO Players and leading emerged from BOHO Players Quartet ‘boho4’.
From 2018 leader of Arel Ensemble – arelensemble.com – Benelux project of great chamber music aspiration .
Between 2016 and 2019 during Southampton String Festival in New York the quartet had opportunity to perform several concerts, being a Quartet in residence and teaching during a festival for few years. Bartlomiej Ciaston is a member of Yes!Camerata (Young European String Camerata).
As a chamber musician, he appeared at many festivals such as Festival Internacional Cervantino, Princess Daisy International Chamber Arts Festival, Kunsthaus Muerz, Festival Musiq3, Moritzburg Festival Academy, and Aurora Star Music Festival and many more.
Important teachers in his life were: Marek Kowalski, Konrad Dragan, Bartosz Bryla, Jadwiga Kaliszewska and many more already mentioned.
Significant was the year 2014 graduation Magna cum laude, with a Master’s degree in Violin Performance from the studio of Professor Zygmund Marek Kowalski at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. (Belgium).
