Philippe Conter hails from Arelerland. A retired teacher of Germanic languages, he is best described as a "comedian-actor", having worked as a teacher for 40 years. He has performed "one-man shows" in the footsteps of his mentor Fabrice Luchini: poetry and story readings accompanied by harpist Claire Dupont. His wife, Francine Hesbois, has accompanied him in his poetic delirium for two shows: "Souffle poétique à deux voix" and "De tes mots à mes nuits". He has written three collections of poetry and has just published a collection of crosswords in Lëtzebuergesch, "Croisons les mots en luxembourgeois", aimed at learners of the language of Dicks! For the past 3 years, he has been joined by Jeannot Pirrotte and Nicolas Billaux to share his stories and jokes in Lëtzebuergesch and French. They form the trio FA SI LA … CONTER!
