Pierre Cocq-Amann hails from Metz. After a fine career in classical music, crowned by 3 gold medals, several international prizes (UFAM, WATRELLOS, BELLAN…) and a State Diploma (CEFEDEM ILE-DE-FRANCE), our multi-instrumentalist became interested in more contemporary music, which he explored on his own before leaving for the Centre des Musiques de Didier Lockwood (CMDL), where he obtained his Diploma in just one year.
A few years later, he completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in sax-jazz at the Maastricht Conservatory.
A passionate, insatiable and hyperactive musician, Pierre plays all over the world (Asia, India, Europe, Africa and the USA). He loves combining the most diverse experiences. He was saxophonist with MUSIQUE RTNE for 5 years, and organist in the parish of Saint Julien-les-Metz. He regularly meets VJs, painters, dancers and actors, explores world music and tries out as many instruments and styles as possible. Since September 2015, he has been teaching classical saxophone, jazz and world music at the Conservatoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.
