Luxembourgish saxophonist Julie Ries completed her Bachelor's degree in classical saxophone in 2023 at the Conservatorium Maastricht under the guidance of Eva van Grinsven. She began her musical studies at the age of 9 in 2009 with Roland Schneider at the Conservatoire de Musique du Nord Ettelbruck/Diekirch in Luxembourg. She also took courses in music analysis, harmony, music theory, percussion, piano, orchestration, and conducting. Additionally, she participated in harmony and symphony orchestra projects. Furthermore, she played in a saxophone quartet and a saxophone ensemble. She completed two internships with the Grand Ducal Military Music of Luxembourg. In September 2023, she started working as a saxophone and music theory teacher at UGDA and the Conservatoire de Musique du Nord.
