Classically trained in Turkey and Finland, Turkish-born pianist Ezgi Göktürk (1997*) contributes to the current piano culture with her unique program combinations and repertoire choices. Currently based in Luxembourg, she is actively shaping the cultural music scene in Benelux countries, Nordic countries and Turkey. Beside her soloist career, she has extensive experience working with diverse ensembles, including all kind of chamber music formations, orchestras and contemporary music collectives. She studied at the Hacettepe University Ankara State Conservatory with Diler Argat and Öznur Orbay, and continued her studies at the Sibelius Academy with the artistic guidance of renowned pianists such as Erik T. Tawaststjerna, Antti Siirala and Anna Kuvaja. She has benefitted from the tuition of great chamber musicians such as Paavo Pohjola, Tuomas Turriago and Martti Rautio. Among others, she has been mentored by other influential teachers including Ilhan Baran, Victor Rosenbaum, Avedis Kouyoumdjian and Antti Hotti. Ezgi has been awarded with several prizes in various music competitions such as Pera Piano Competition (Turkey), Helmi Vesa Piano Competition and Tampere Piano Competition (Finland). She is regularly invited to take part in international master courses and festivals including Mozarteum Summer Academy (Austria), International Bartok Music Festival, Antalya Piano Festival (Turkey), Music Academy of Villecroze (France), Nurmes Summer Academy (Finland). Throughout her career, she has been supported by various artistic foundations with grants and scholarships. She was elected to the "Women Stars of Tomorrow" support program run by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV). She was financially supported by the Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı Foundation and the Wegelius Foundation (Finland) for her master’s studies in Finland.
