Iveta Calite

Iveta Calite is a Latvian pianist, born in Riga. Iveta is a musician and soloist with a passion for chamber music, who has performed concerts throughout the Nordic and Baltic countries, as well as in the United States, France and Germany. Latvian Radio and the Norwegian Radio Orchestra have welcomed her for several recordings of both classical and contemporary works. As a soloist, she has played in the symphony and string orchestras of the Royal College of Music in Stockholm (KMH). Having completed her primary music studies in Latvia, Iveta continued her studies under the tutelage of Jean-Marc Luisada at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris – Alfred Cortot. In 2012 she was accepted at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, where she continued her studies with Stefan Bojsten and Mats Widlund, obtaining not only a Master's degree in classical and chamber music performance, but also a soloist's diploma. Iveta has received scholarships from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm, the Royal Swedish Academy, and the Swedish Order of Freemasons. Her long-term projects include a series of concerts dedicated to Ravel, concerts of music composed exclusively by women in Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden and Germany, and the recording of Maurice Ravel's piano repertoire.
