Mike started hearing his own music around the age of ten and, after pestering his parents for a long time, they finally decided to buy him a guitar. Playing along with his records, he is largely self-taught, teaching his ears and hands to play intuitively. Later, he also learned to play bass guitar and drums and has played these instruments in several bands. Mike's music is rhythmic, dynamic and full of improvisation. He has played in a number of bands, ranging from reggae to pop, rock, folk and improvisation. He currently plays in Emaho, Klankennest and several other projects.
