Marie Urwald is 18 years old and will graduate with a focus on music in 2025. From a young age, Marie has had a strong connection to painting and music and is highly active in artistic and creative pursuits. Growing up in a family of musicians, she began singing in a choir at an early age. Over the years, she has added the flute, piccolo, electric bass, piano, various ensembles and orchestras, Alexander Technique, and other theoretical subjects to her skill set.
Marie received her first flute lessons from Päivi Kauffmann at the Conservatory in Esch before switching, for practical reasons, to Aniela Stoffels' class at the Conservatory of Luxembourg. In addition to her musical activities at the Conservatoire (CVL), Marie is also actively involved with the "Leidelenger Musek." She has twice participated in the "Side by Side" project with the Luxembourg Philharmonic and has been a member of the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Luxembourg (NYWOL). Furthermore, she has performed with the Cercle Symphonique Rumelange and competed in the UGDA’s Concours Jeunes Solistes. She is also a member of the orchestra for the EME project "pOpera." As a graphic designer, she has created posters, CD covers, and small videos.
To further develop her musical talents, Marie regularly participates in masterclasses and workshops with internationally recognized musicians, including the "Forum International pour flûte et piano" in Diekirch.
