Annemie Osborne is a Luxembourg cellist based in Brussels. Trained in classical cello by Claude Giampellegrini (LU), Anna Shuttleworth (University of Leeds), and Jeroen Reuling (Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel), she nurtures her interest in improvised and traditional music through courses, workshops and travels, notably during courses in free improvisation (Kris Defoort) and jazz (Hendrik Vanattenhoven, Tcha Limberger). Since 2008, she has played in original and rearranged music projects such as OakTree, Julia goes Mercutio, Toine Thys Overseas, Benjamin Sauzereau Remorque, Tristan Driessens Soolmaan, and the string quartet In Praise of Folly. Since 2015, she has been working with the Belgian company Klankennest, touring Europe with the toddler musicals Woodpecker and Manta. In a series of solo concerts for audiences with special needs or elderly people with dementia, she combines cello and voice; this among other things in the "Museksmomenter-Liewensspueren" project created for the EME foundation.
