Inside

For a few weeks the musicians go to the prison in Schrassig to carry out a blues-workshop Inside with the inmates. The goal of the project is to break through the monotony of their daily lives and to bring them closer to blues music.

In a few months, the inmates will learn to play electric guitars, bass guitars or drums and will perform three times infront of the other inmates.

After a gap of six years, the EME Foundation once more gives the prisoners in Givenich the opportunity to learn an instrument – for example, the guitar or drums – with Gast Waltzing and David Laborier and to present a final concert for their fellow prisoners and staff. The project took place in spring 2015.

This project is based on the positive experiences of previous years in the prison in Schrassig.
