Music, a transformative experience for people with Parkinson's disease

Music can be a real tool for well-being and a means of expression for people suffering from illnesses, particularly Parkinson's disease.

It stimulates movement, coordination and expression, and rhythm engages the brain in a different way, making everyday gestures easier and providing a profound sense of well-being.

With this in mind, we have launched the Music Jam @La Tulipe project at the Centre Parkinson La Tulipe. Percussionist Amit Dhuri and singer and percussionist Virginie Vinti run regular workshops for members of the Centre, creating a convivial atmosphere where everyday worries are forgotten.
This project highlights the key role played by music in supporting people suffering from neurodegenerative diseases.
