Yaz Sané is a Franco-Senegalese performer, choreographer and author who trained between Paris and New York. His career has taken him to work with choreographers and directors such as Kamel Ouali, Bradley Shel – ver and Sadeck Berrabah (… ), with the Compagnie Internationale (role of Hamlet in Hamlet-Machine), the Syli Bandits theatre company and the Banane Rouge dance company; and has performed on world-famous stages such as Bercy, La Seine Musicale, the Halle Tony Garnier and the Ailey Citigroup theatre in New York, as well as appearing on TV channels such as Disney Channel and TF1. Iel has also given interviews for media such as Paint, Maze and Netflix, to talk about subjects close to his heart, such as gender identity. As a creator, with the aim of transmitting, questioning and sometimes provoking, Yaz uses different artistic mediums to create works that are healing, nourishing and inspiring. Yaz likes to think of himself as a jigsaw puzzle of cultures, knowledge, poetry, movement and sorcery, a jigsaw to be completed ad infinitum.
