Tanja Silcher completed her training as a jazz double bassist in Luxembourg in 2014. Since 2020, she has been working as a freelance double bassist. Since 2019, she has been writing her own songs. In 2020, Tanja released her first CD "Mutige Gedanken". In 2022, she published a book of her own songs. In April 2023, she released her second CD "Zusammenhalten". She is accompanied by her colleagues Benedikt Schweigstill on accordion and Al Ginter on percussion and vocals. She is a member of the duo Tacheles, with Benedikt Schweigstill on accordion. With this duo, they give numerous concerts for the EME Foundation. With her character "Frau Kontrabass", Tanja Silcher visits schools and kindergartens to present her instrument.
