Mariana Souza is a Brazilian dancer, actress and singer. She graduated in music from the Conservatoire Brasiliero de Musica do Rio de Janeiro, specialized in classical and modern ballet, contemporary dance, jazz and tap. In Brazil, she worked as a dancer and choreographer in TV productions and festivals. Since 2007, she has worked mainly in Germany and Austria collaborating with Stage Entertainment on Disney musicals such as The Lion King in Hamburg and Mary Poppins in Vienna. She has a long partnership with the Komusche Oper Berlin and has participated in several productions under the direction of Barne Kosky and Stefan Huber. In 2023, she choreographed Dis Lustige Witwe at the Maifrankentheater in Würzburg. As artistic director, Mariana feels honored to join the Fondation EME; weaving participants' stories into art and transformiing silenced voices into resplendence.
