Jules Stella

Violin

Curious about music and attracted to it from an early age, Jules Stella discovered the violin through Irish folk music, and his passion for the instrument was born. He began his training at the Conservatoire de Thionville and, after several years of further study at the Conservatoire de Nancy and then Boulogne-Billancourt, obtained a Master's degree at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris in the class of Jean-Marc Phillips-Varjabedian, under whose guidance he remained for five years. He met many violinists, including Gérard Poulet, Jacques Ghestem, Svetlin Roussev and David Grimal. Passionate about chamber music, he also has specialist training in piano trio and has been involved in a long-standing duo with his brother, Ugo Stella. His projects have led him to play regularly with various orchestras and other groups, to take part in the creation of interdisciplinary shows and to perform as a soloist. Since September 2024, Jules Stella has been a member of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Academy.
